Once most of 33 Ham Farm Road had been demolished work started on the extension and the new foundations start to give some idea of what the revised house will look like.
The most obvious thing from this angle is that some of the rooms seem to be quite small and unusually shaped, but I guess that each has been deliberately designed that way for a reason.
Looking towards the back of the plot the size of the extension becomes apparent and, therefore, how small the remaining garden is, made even smaller by the recent out-house in the far corner.

How can this be called an extension when the only thing remaining of the old Jacobs house is a bit of chimney? Seems a con to get round building a completely different house, scaffolding is up two stories! and looks as if it will be another Parkelys block in length. This road is supposed to be in a conservation area!!

The changes there are certainly interesting and the planning applications for them are bit of a mess too; some have been submitted after the work had started and the one for the out-house showed the old layout of the plot with a much larger garden, not the one with the approved extension that is now being built. I would hope the LBRuT Planning are following this but I have found their Enforcement team somewhat unresponsive recently.
