Newman House is in the north-west corner of Ham Close, adjoining Woodville Road, and is one of several such blocks in the development.
Ham Close is a notable part of Ham, not least because the main shops are nearby and the 371 passes it, and so it is only right that it should be recorded here.
Lesley again from Bournemouth. Thank you for the photo of Newman House. I lived there from 1966 until I got married in 1975 and my parents lived there until 1977 when they moved from this flat to a house a few miles away. These flats were all council property and my parents started to buy there own house then in 1977. We lived at the top flat at Newman House because it had three bedrooms. Yes you are right it is easy to go to the shops and my school at Greycourt! Thank you for your photos. Best wishes Lesley xxxx
