Ham Photos is a growing archive of photos of Ham (at the meeting of Richmond upon Thames and Kingston upon Thames in south-west London), where I have lived since 1996. It captures the small changes that are easily missed and delights in the unusual, the unexpected and the unnoticed.

Fairground organ
I usually go to Ham Fair, held in June each year, and while there is a lot to see and do the scene is one of scruffy stands and scruffy people so there is nothing very photogenic about it. The one bright spot this year was a fairground organ that was as musical as it was colourful.

Maybe if you spent less time being condescending to those 'scruffy people' and more time actually interacting with them, you'd have met some good people.
ReplyDeleteI think you have rather missed the point. This is a collection of photographs so scruffiness is an issue. I made no comment on their goodness as this is not something that you can see in a photo. And I do know a lot of good people locally through interacting with them, I do that every day.
