Country lane

This little track leads from Petersham Road to Ham Polo Club (next to Ham House) but it looks like a country lane that meanders aimlessly around hills and woods towards a forgotten destination.

This is Ham

Ham is bounded by the Thames to the south, west and north, and by Richmond Park to the east. This is my blog so my definition of Ham counts.

I include in Ham areas that some people think should be called Petersham or Kingston. They are wrong.

About me

Matthew Rees: Born in Leeds, raised in Weymouth and now settled in Ham straddling the Kingston-Richmond border. I love walking, drama, architecture, politics, pubs and reading stories told through words and pictures (some people call them comics).
