Now you see it, now you don't

The plot between Ham Library and the new Huf Haus in Ham Street is being redeveloped and that means clearing the site first. I took this picture on 29 October when most of the ground had been cleared but most of the house was still standing,

Then on 10 November the house had gone too. With nothing left on the site it is easier to appreciate just how big it is. There looks to be plenty of room for the two houses that I believe are coming.

  1. Thanks for this update. It appears that, with the original planning application for 4 town houses rejected, the owners have now come back with a new application for a pair of semi-detached houses. This seems far more appropriate for the site, especially as they look to be fairly similar to the new Huf Haus next door. A little strange that the demolition has already taken place when the planning application isn't due to be decided until 20th December. However, overall a much better result for Ham, hopefully.....

  2. Planning permission was granted on 6th Feb 2018, subject to some minor amendments and a legal agreement.
