The sign says that this Ham Village Green, and I do not deny that, but this is the least villagey part of Ham and the green, such as it is, is devoid of ducks and benches, and only has a few trees. The large building in the background is the parade of shops with flats above on the corner of Ham Street and Ashburnham Road.
